I met this man only virtually via the computer, first in Second Life and later wechatted by IM and video. I would certainly have met him in the flesh long ago by now, but he perished before that. This mini-site is some of what I remember about this extraordinary man.
Second Life Memorial Service Transcript
A gathering of his friends was held on Saturday December 15, 2007 at 2:00pm SL in Memorium for Jeff "Lthrgoat Grot" Franklund who died Tuesday morning, November 27, 2007.
This is a transcript of the gathering. Short and sweet, like Jeff.
[11:18] Jungle Torok: dear friends,
[11:18] Jungle Torok: It has probably been difficult for many of us to find time to be here during the most festive period of the year. Thank you so much to all who were able to join this gathering today.
[11:19] Jungle Torok: Though I learned of Jeff's death about 2 weeks ago, my heart still hurts when I realise he will never join us again, be it in SL or RL where I had the privilege to know him also.
[11:19] Jungle Torok: After having become close friends in SL, we decided we would meet somewhere in the US, which we finally got a chance to do this summer in June in San Francisco.
[11:19] Jungle Torok: Even though we never had met before, all what I knew and felt about him in SL was confirmed when I saw him in person.
